Shady Oak Neighborhood

Amenities

The Shady Oak Neighborhood is centered around Shady Oak Lake, just to the east of 494.   The neighborhood has several parks and a multitude of trails, as well as a swimming beach on the eastern edge of Shady Oak Lake.  One of the larger playgrounds is on Lone Lake, just south of Shady Oak Lake and has a fishing pier as well as a path around the entire lake.

Housing Styles

The homes vary quite a bit, with new construction happening around Shady Oak Lake.  The homes are mostly traditional two-story homes with a range of differences due to build date and remodelling.  The homes around the lakes in the area are generally larger and many of the neighborhoods are secluded with mature tree growth.
